Homemade Raw Milk Yoghurt

How to make raw milk yoghurt.

Yoghurt is my go to food everyday to provide natural healthy probiotics and bio-available calcium and I have been buying the best usually organic plain Yeo Valley for many years. But it has been pastuerised which damages the enzymes and essential fats.
So I have been making my own with raw cows milk.

Heres the recipe. Its so easy.

1 pint of raw milk. Buy from local farms. In Sussex go to Plawhatch or Mays in Lewes.
A small tub of Yeo Valley plain cows yoghurt.
A 2 pint glass or jug
Muslin
Elastic band.
Wooden spoon

In a clean dry glass jar pour the pint of raw cows milk.
Add 2 tablespoons of yoghurt using a wooden spoon.
Mix thoroughly
Add a square of muslin to cover the top. Use an elastic band to hold in place.
Place in a warm cupboard preferably an airing cupboard for 48 hours.
After 48 hours check and stir with the wooden spoon and leave for another 24 hours.

Then its ready.

Serve with some raw honey and berries
