Lecithin and MS
- Lecithin and MS
Lecithin is a vital nutrient made up of 2 B vits choline and inositol and helps to support and protect the myelin sheath around each nerve endin…g.
Unfortunately modern high sugar diets can prevent the liver creating Lecithin due to the pathways being blocked. This occurs when too much sugar is consumed which leeches out B vitamins and the creation of excess cholesterol leading to a fatty liver.
Cholesterol is created when the body is under stress. Stress causes the body to create excess cholesterol to ply around each cell wall to protect the water levels inside the cell. If we were to lose the water in the cells we would die.
Over a life time more and more cholesterol is created. Remove stress on all levels as much as possible and cholesterol is removed to go back to the liver to be processed.
When the liver is too fatty it’s harder to create Lecithin which also acts as an emulsifier which, ironically, break down fats.
That’s why it is used in chocolate to help thin it if it gets too thick.
So the answer is to the help the liver work better as well as adding Lecithin.
In order for our livers to work well from birth or even in the womb it needs these ingredients to thrive.
Water, essentials fats and Lecithin. All naturally found in breast milk of course.
Hydration is always the key and the first step because then you are removing stress and signalling to the liver to not creat more cholesterol and to remove excess LDL from the cells to be sent back to the liver.
Then taking the most absorbable form of omega 3, deep sea fish oil rich in EPA and DHA. and a small amount of Lecithin. This helps get the liver working again more efficiently. A little like giving the car engine a good clean.
Now again as I said earlier Lecithin thins fats. So what will it do if you take too much. It will start to open up the cells to release toxicity and inflammatory sodium which will move from the cells into the lymph to the blood and back to the liver.
If the liver is still too fatty (You can test this if fats repeat on you) it will struggle and a healing crises may arise.
You might get a return of eczema, a rash a headache or migraine or diarrhea. These are all signs the liver is struggling.
So a naturopathic mantra is always………
Start small and slowly increase.
The first step is water….drinking 8 glasses. After a week start taking 4000mg of deep sea fish oil and then once you have a healthy supporting diet rich in healthy fats, protein snd antioxidants start to either add a small pinch of Lecithin or take the broken down version….Choline Bitartrate.
Choline B is the form of lecithin which only open the liver cells and not the cells of whole system. It’s very tarte a little like lemon juice and comes in a powder and you take a small amount 1/4 of a teaspoon to start wıth in a little water.
I would suggest doing this once a day at breakfast.
Now back to MS to the missing link that many do not take into account when forgetting the need to treat the body holistically.
By protecting the myelin sheath and cushioning it your central nervous system remains strong and stable. Years of stress, high sugar diets, toxic diets, inherited weaknesses and a weakened liver which is also the seat of anger will take its toll.
I do not recommend soya Lecithin. Unfermented soya is a goitregen, which depletes the body of iodine and thus weakens thyroid functıon.
What I do recommend is bee pollen which is sold in markets all over the Mediterranean by the natives who still listen within to nature’s cures.
Bee pollen contains 15% lecithin in its most absorbable form.
Again only a tiny amount is needed. A small pinch…otherwise you may get the runs….
Less is more or rather “less is thin”
